This role offers the opportunity to oversee safety during material handling equipment installation, mechanical assembly, elevated work, equipment setting, and contractor operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction safety professional who enjoys working alongside installation crews while helping ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

OSHA 500 Certification and 6+ years of construction safety experience
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety (or related field) and 3+ years of construction safety experience
CSP, CHST, or STSC Certification and 5+ years of construction safety experience
Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
Working knowledge of Conveyor Installation Safety
Working knowledge of Material Handling Equipment Installation
Working knowledge of Mechanical Construction Safety
Working knowledge of Industrial Construction Operations
Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work Activities
Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development
Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Working knowledge of Warehouse & Distribution Facility Construction

Responsibilities

Oversee daily safety activities for conveyor installation operations
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
Support installation activities involving conveyor systems and material handling equipment
Monitor elevated work, equipment installation, and mechanical assembly operations
Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
Deliver safety orientations and field safety coaching
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
