About The Position

The Construction Resource-in-Training (CRIT) is an entry-level role that supports capital improvement and renovation projects across skilled nursing, assisted living, and healthcare facilities. Working under a Construction Resource, this position coordinates schedules, communication, documentation, and administrative tasks while gaining hands-on exposure to construction project management and collaborating with contractors, consultants, facility leaders, and internal partners.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of construction, facilities, project coordination, or administrative experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn construction project management software and systems.
  • Upon successful completion of the training program, must be willing and able to relocate based on organizational needs and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned market throughout the training program.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist assigned Construction Resource Preceptor with the execution of construction and renovation projects.
  • Support project planning activities, including gathering information, preparing project files, and organizing project documentation.
  • Help track project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Maintain project logs, reports, and construction records.
  • Coordinate meetings and distribute meeting notes, action items, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist in preparing project status updates for leadership and facility stakeholders.
  • Assist with obtaining contractor proposals, bids, and pricing information.
  • Help collect and organize project contracts, insurance certificates, permits, and related documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors and contractors regarding project schedules, deliverables, and administrative requirements.
  • Track receipt of project documentation to support vendor onboarding and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with reviewing invoices and pay applications for completeness before submitting for approval.
  • Maintain project budget tracking spreadsheets and cost reports.
  • Organize project files, purchase requests, and supporting documentation.
  • Support project closeout activities by collecting warranties, manuals, and final project records.
  • Participate in facility site walks with the Construction Resource Preceptor, or designated Construction Resource.
  • Assist with documenting existing building conditions and project requirements.
  • Take photographs and gather field information to support project planning and reporting.
  • Help prepare summaries of site observations and project needs.
  • Support the development of scopes of work and project specifications.
  • Assist with creating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.
  • Maintain electronic project files and document management systems.
  • Ensure project documentation is organized and readily available for future reference.
  • Partner with facility leadership, maintenance staff, contractors, and consultants to support project objectives.
  • Attend construction meetings and provide administrative follow-up.
  • Communicate professionally with all project stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Construction Resource Preceptor, Construction Market Leader, or Construction Leadership team.
