About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Construction Representative to join our talented Construction Services team. This role involves monitoring construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications. The Construction Representative will document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements. They will also assist with preconstruction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions, and prepare and negotiate construction change orders. Effective communication with clients, contractors, and SEH team members is essential. This role may also involve assisting in the development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews. This opportunity is open to candidates residing in the Brainerd, MN area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain on construction sites.
  • Willingness to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years previous experience in construction field
  • Possession of applicable DOT technical certifications or ability to obtain within six (6) months.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with BlueBeam software.
