The Construction Quality Inspector provides support for Construction Management and related services. The broader CM services program includes project engineering, planning, scheduling, design reviews and value management assessments; safety compliance reviews; monitoring and testing compliance; record keeping; cost estimating and budget control; and change management documentation. It also includes constructability reviews and quality assurance monitoring to assess contractors’ adherence to standards and specifications and help avoid deficiencies in the work. The role involves reviewing daily work, conducting weekly and monthly reviews, preparing reports, reviewing change order proposals, monitoring schedule development and adherence, and making recommendations related to integrated master schedules. The inspector also contributes to written and oral communications and coordination efforts as required. The position requires construction knowledge and experience in quality assurance monitoring, construction-document review, and building-site operations. A degree from an accredited institution may be held; relevant work experience or knowledge may compensate for the absence of higher education, and at least three years of construction work experience may be substituted. The inspector must be able to use software programs to monitor and update information and produce work products and compile data.
