About The Position

Advance your career with RQ Construction as a Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) supporting a large-scale ambulatory care and dental clinic project located at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This role is part of our Field Operations team and requires on-site participation. The CQCM is responsible for developing and administering a project-specific quality control plan. This includes ensuring all work complies with contractual standards, maintaining timely and accurate documentation, coordinating quality activities across the project team, and fostering strong client relationships-all while reflecting RQ's core values.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Quality Control Manager on healthcare construction projects.
  • Willingness to relocate to Guantanamo Bay.
  • Possess a valid passport.
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in commercial construction (or equivalent), including roles such as Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or QC Manager.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience serving as a Quality Control Manager.
  • Active USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year program (Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred).
  • Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications required.
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • All candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

Nice To Haves

  • RMS/QCS knowledge preferred (training available).
  • Specialized inspection certifications and licenses are highly desirable.
  • Previous work on medical or healthcare facilities strongly preferred.
  • LEED Accredited Professional (AP/AP+) or Green Associate credentials are a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS preferred.
