About The Position

A premier Cleveland, Ohio area commercial construction firm is hiring an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Manager. This is a Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits. The role involves analyzing project blueprints, overseeing commercial waterproofing and restoration projects from start to finish, preparing bid packages, evaluating subcontractor quotes, and serving as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. The position also includes managing project documentation and identifying local project leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
  • Document Control: Bluebeam, Procore.
  • Productivity & Communication: MS Office Suite (Excel expert preferred), MS Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated commercial construction cost estimation and project management experience, with a proven focus on restoration projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of various façade systems and materials, including masonry, concrete, stone, curtain walls, windows, and roofing.
  • Exceptional blueprint reading skills, robust contract literacy, and sharp negotiation/conflict resolution abilities.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
  • Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with specialty or self-performing contractors is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of historic preservation principles and restoration techniques is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to build highly accurate labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Oversee commercial waterproofing and restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring execution remains on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare comprehensive take-offs, defined scopes of work, and formal bid packages.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotes to compile competitive client proposals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal field operations teams to keep project goals aligned.
  • Manage and track critical project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and daily/weekly progress reports.
  • Actively identify and develop local project leads while fostering long-term relationships with regional subcontractors.
