Requirements

  • 3-7 years of relevant construction project management experience, preferably in commercial, corporate, retail, financial services, or multi-site environments.
  • Ability to travel to project sites throughout the organizational footprint as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage construction projects from planning through closeout while meeting schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery processes, building codes, safety regulations, and commercial construction practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret contracts, schedules, construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, submittals, permits, and related technical documents.
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • experience with construction management software, scheduling tools, and cost estimating software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of assigned construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, procurement strategies, and project delivery timelines to support timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, and programming requirements in collaboration with business leaders, Facility Managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with approved project objectives.
  • Review design concepts, space plans, construction drawings, specifications, consultant deliverables, and related documents to ensure compliance with organizational standards, operational requirements, and approved scope.
  • Manage procurement activities, including bid solicitation, bid evaluations, contractor selection, vendor selection, contract coordination, and support for contract negotiations.
  • Oversee project budgeting, cost control, expense tracking, change orders, and related capital or operating budget management activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, verify quality standards, and ensure compliance with construction documents, safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, permits, drawings, schedules, budgets, change orders, meeting notes, closeout documents, and other project documentation.
  • Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, stakeholder updates, and approval processes throughout planning, design, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Provide regular project status updates, including milestone progress, budget updates, risks, issues, and significant developments.
  • Coordinate project activities to minimize disruption to business operations and support successful execution of renovations, relocations, consolidations, acquisitions, and new facility openings.
  • Support facility assessments, maintenance planning, and capital improvement planning as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to foster collaboration, accountability, and effective project execution.
  • Travel to project sites as required to support active projects and facility initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
