About The Position

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their PMCM Team in Bethlehem, PA. This role involves overseeing capital projects from concept to completion, serving as a trusted advisor to clients, and driving the mission to create cleaner, safer, and more resilient communities. The ideal candidate will have practical construction experience (contractor, construction manager, superintendent, construction administrator, or facility engineer) and a strong understanding of building systems to manage complex capital projects from planning through delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Science, Planning, Engineering Management, or a related field required; or equivalent combination of experience and licensure
  • Minimum of 9 years of industry experience required, including 6 years of project management experience
  • Strong client relationship management and ability to interpret contract requirements
  • Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead initiatives to completion
  • Expert knowledge of project engineering and/or construction principles and schedules required
  • Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and close out documentation required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
  • Consulting industry experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of capital projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery for a diverse portfolio including schools, municipal buildings, and commercial facilities
  • Serve as the owner’s representative, collaborating closely with clients to ensure their needs are met across all project sites
  • Communicate project updates clearly to clients, management, and teams; prepare for and participate in monthly project review meetings
  • Manage all project financials—including budgeting, forecasting, revenue, cash flow, and subcontractor billings—to ensure strong financial performance
  • Oversee the preparation, coordination, and maintenance of contracts, project plans, purchase orders, extra work authorizations, closeout packages, and other critical project documentation to support successful project delivery
  • Implement project controls, quality management processes, and health & safety plans to support compliance and successful project delivery
  • Support business development by preparing proposals and collaborating with Market Leaders on growth opportunities
