About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based in our Roanoke, VA office to work on Federal/Military facility projects. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the project and assistance in establishing project-specific objectives and policies. This role provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and serves as a primary liaison between AECOM and the client interface. The position oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors. Responsibilities span from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover, and contract closeout. This position has profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects and provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, maintains close client interface, and ensures project adherence to design, budget, and schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
United States Citizenship is required for this position
A valid US Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices
Selected candidate must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment

Nice To Haves

Two (2)+ years of applicable experience ideally on projects that are $200K to $100 Million +
Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines, clients and contractors
Strong technical skills
Experienced using Outlook and Microsoft Office
Experienced using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
Experienced using Contract Manager or similar construction management software
Strong organizational and management skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Exceptional knowledge of construction ways, means, methods, and sequences
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
