About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based in our Roanoke, VA office to work on Federal/Military facility projects. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and administration of the project, assistance in establishing project-specific objectives and policies, and providing management and guidance to subordinate managers. This role involves enforcing company and project policies, serving as a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface, and overseeing all facets of the project to ensure construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors. The position administers the project from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover, and contract closeout. This role has profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction projects and provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, maintaining a close client interface.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • United States Citizenship is required for this position
  • A valid US Driver’s License is required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices and as a condition of employment, the selected candidate must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2)+ years of applicable experience ideally on projects that are $200K to $100 Million +
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other team members and disciplines, clients and contractors
  • Strong technical skills
  • Experienced using Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Experienced using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software
  • Experienced using Contract Manager or similar construction management software
  • Strong organizational and management skills
