About The Position

A Civil Engineering Firm in the Akron, Ohio area is seeking an experienced Senior Level Construction Project Manager to join their Construction Service Group. This role involves pursuing, planning, and managing projects, and leading a team of engineers and technicians in conducting construction inspections and documenting activities. The projects will encompass construction administration, oversight, dispute resolution, documentation, quality control, pre-construction services, and stakeholder communication, serving both public and private sector clients. The project manager will be responsible for overseeing all project aspects, mitigating risks for the firm and clients, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • PE license is required
  • Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
  • Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to become prequalified as a CE-2 with the Ohio Department of Transportation a plus.
  • 10+ years of related experience are preferred.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience are preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple types of construction projects is a plus.
  • Experience in vertical construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians conducting construction inspections and documenting construction activities.
  • Manage projects including construction administration, construction oversight, dispute resolution, documentation and quality control, pre-construction services, and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage both public and private sector projects.
  • Manage, control, and monitor all aspects of the project.
  • Reduce risks to both the firm and its clients.
  • Interact with clients in delivering projects.
  • Manage all activities for assigned projects, including scheduling work and project budgets.
  • Direct associates and sub-consultant activities.
  • Establish and monitor quality requirements.
  • Ensure client satisfaction.
  • Promote integration across all areas of work.
