About The Position

WD is hiring a Construction Project Manager for its Construction Management Services team, with hiring open in Lexington, Kentucky, to support client projects in the area. The role manages construction workflow processes for multi-location program rollouts, typically involving occupied remodels, building expansions, and/or client relocations. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of each construction project. The position requires at least 50% travel, locally or overnight, by car and/or plane; the employee must be able to rent a car and travel by air.

Requirements

• Prior construction experience is required.
• Strong understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Ability to remain flexible and efficient.
• Ability to travel at least 50% locally or overnight by plane and/or car to project locations for client meetings or discovery site visits.
• Must be able to rent a car and travel by air.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent knowledge gained through education and/or work experience.
• Program management experience.
• Experience with design and construction activities for commercial spaces, such as gas stations and convenience stores, and/or health and wellness spaces, such as hospitals or medical office buildings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and communicate program budgets and schedules.
• Work with the project team to coordinate construction projects from start to finish.
• Lead communication with field operations teams and provide updates to senior leadership.
• Oversee and execute the bidding process.
• Select, contract with, and oversee contractors for construction projects.
• Administer purchase orders, change orders, and invoices through procurement systems.
• Maintain positive relationships with leadership, staff, contractors, and client customers.
