About The Position

Spartan Emergency Water Removal is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and light commercial reconstruction projects resulting from insurance claims. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from approved estimate through final completion. This position oversees budgets, schedules, subcontractors, permits, inspections, customer communication, and overall project profitability while ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing residential or light commercial construction projects.
  • Insurance restoration experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and the insurance claims process, including supplements and change orders.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, trade sequencing, and building codes.
  • Experience managing project budgets, job costs, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Xactimate Level 1 or higher
  • Experience with Albi, Buildertrend, or similar construction management software
  • Experience working for a Class A licensed contractor

Responsibilities

  • Protect project profitability by proactively managing budgets, subcontractor performance, and production schedules.
  • Manage residential and light commercial reconstruction projects from approved insurance estimate through final completion.
  • Develop project budgets, monitor job costs, and manage each project to meet profitability goals.
  • Create project schedules, coordinate subcontractors and company crews, and keep projects moving on time.
  • Review insurance scopes, identify supplemental work, and coordinate documentation for additional approvals when needed.
  • Manage change orders, customer upgrades, and scope changes while ensuring proper authorization before work begins.
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and code compliance throughout the construction process.
  • Maintain regular communication with homeowners, providing updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations from start to finish.
  • Conduct job site visits to monitor quality, safety, workmanship, and production progress.
  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including daily logs, photos, schedules, permits, and project records.
  • Perform final walkthroughs, resolve punch list items, and ensure every project is completed to company quality standards before closeout.
