About The Position

Spiniello Companies is a privately held, national, full-service utility contractor. Founded in 1922, we are one of the few companies that fully self-performs all aspects of open cut and specialty pipe rehabilitation. Headquarters in New Jersey, we also have office locations in Maryland, Washington D.C., and California.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Civil Construction, Earthwork, and Utilities construction.
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices and standards, processes, and activities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable experience.
  • Strong Civil Construction, Trenchless Technologies and Underground Utility experience.
  • Experienced in reading drawings, takeoffs and detailed specification understanding.
  • Familiar with local, state and federal municipalities and agencies.
  • Thorough understanding of construction accounting.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of project experience in Civil Construction/Underground Utility Construction.
  • Familiar with deep excavations, drainage, water, sewer, trenchless technologies and other civil construction scopes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent team building skills with effective communication.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Timberline and HCSS.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Independent with strong leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Civil Construction, Pipeline Rehabilitation, and Utilities construction.
  • Four-year construction management or engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of project experience in Civil Construction/Underground Utility Construction.
  • Ability to read and evaluate drawings and relevant contract documents and to prepare takeoffs.
  • Familiar with deep excavations, drainage, water, sewer, trenchless technologies and other civil construction scopes.
  • Thorough understanding of construction codes and working knowledge of all trades and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local entities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of alternative delivery methods (Design/Build, CMAR, etc.) a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Timberline and HCSS is a plus.
