About The Position

Perdue Commercial Interiors is seeking a high-level Construction Project Manager to lead complex architectural solution projects through preconstruction, coordination, field execution, and closeout. This role requires proven General Contractor experience and the ability to work confidently with GCs, architects, owners, trade partners, manufacturers, and internal teams. The position will lead projects involving Falkbuilt modular walls, Steelcase Architectural Solutions, architectural walls, casework, millwork, specialty products, and integrated interior construction systems.

  • Successful coordination of Falkbuilt, Steelcase Architectural Solutions, casework, millwork, and specialty products in the construction process.
  • High customer satisfaction, repeat business, and strong relationships with GCs and architectural partners.
  • Improved project planning, field coordination, risk management, and closeout discipline across the Architectural Solutions business.
  • Prior experience working for a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or commercial construction firm is required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, jobsite coordination, contracts, budgets, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects in active construction environments while protecting schedule, quality, and profitability.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret architectural drawings, construction documents, specifications, shop drawings, schedules, contracts, safety requirements, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to prepare clear project documentation, reports, meeting notes, scope summaries, change order documentation, punch lists, and client communications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with general contractors, architects, owners, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, manufacturers, installers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to present project information, risks, schedules, and recommendations clearly in meetings, site walks, and planning sessions.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, change orders, purchase orders, billing, margins, percentages, areas, dimensions, and quantities.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra, geometry, and measurement concepts to construction drawings, field dimensions, material planning, scheduling, and installation coordination.
  • Ability to analyze cost, schedule, and margin information to support project profitability and decision-making.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex construction, coordination, scheduling, field, quality, and client-related issues.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, drawing, specification, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Ability to assess project risks, gaps, scope conflicts, and field conditions, then develop practical action plans to protect schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced construction environments with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, and related construction/document management platforms.
  • Ability to use project management systems to maintain schedules, budgets, documentation, submittits, punch lists, closeout records, project communications, and reporting.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use company-specific software and manufacturer/vendor platforms required to support project delivery.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple construction projects and project phases from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules, procurement timelines, manpower plans, installation plans, site logistics, documentation, and closeout requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work as project conditions, field issues, client needs, and construction schedules change.
  • Ability to manage details, deadlines, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communication while maintaining accountability for safety, quality, schedule, margin, and client satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Construction Management and 10+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred.
  • Falkbuilt, DIRTT, modular walls, prefabricated interiors, or demountable wall systems.
  • Steelcase Architectural Solutions, architectural wall systems, casework, millwork, or specialty commercial interiors.
  • Healthcare construction, corporate workplace projects, education projects, or complex occupied renovations.
  • Experience coordinating with manufacturing partners, installers, and specialty trade contractors

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects during preconstruction, design development, coordination, project award, execution, and closeout.
  • Work directly with architects, designers, owners, consultants, and general contractors to develop project solutions that are buildable, coordinated, and aligned with the construction schedule.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, field conditions, schedules, and scope requirements to identify risks, gaps, and coordination needs early.
  • Conduct site assessments, field verification, and dimensional coordination to support accurate design, fabrication, and installation.
  • Lead constructability reviews and provide practical construction input on modular walls, architectural wall systems, casework, millwork, and specialty products.
  • Manage all phases of project delivery from award through final turnover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, installation plans, procurement timelines, manpower plans, and site logistics.
  • Coordinate field operations with GCs, superintendents, trade contractors, installers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Sequence installation activities around drywall, electrical, mechanical, flooring, ceilings, millwork, glazing, and other construction trades.
  • Drive accountability for safety, schedule, quality, budget, margin, documentation, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify and resolve field issues quickly before they impact schedule, cost, or client relationships.
  • Serve as Perdue's primary construction-facing project leader with general contractors, architects, construction managers, owners, and trade partners.
  • Participate in OAC meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, site walks, schedule reviews, and project planning sessions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with field teams and senior project stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with GCs, architects, owners, and trade partners to support repeat business and stronger project outcomes.
  • Support sales and architectural solutions leadership by providing construction expertise during pursuit, budgeting, scope review, and project planning.
  • Develop, manage, and report on project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and margin performance.
  • Manage scope, change orders, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, vendor commitments, and billing documentation.
  • Identify financial, contractual, schedule, and operational risks and create action plans to protect project profitability.
  • Maintain strong project documentation and ensure commitments are clearly communicated and tracked.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, jobsite, GC, and company safety requirements.
  • Verify installations meet contract documents, manufacturer standards, field dimensions, and client expectations.
  • Manage punch lists, closeout documentation, owner turnover, warranty coordination, and final client acceptance.
  • Lead continuous improvement in project delivery, coordination processes, and field execution standards.
