As a Project Manager manager you will thoroughly understand, maintain and comply with company policies, procedures, and SOPs (standard operating procedures), maintain schedule of all projects past, present and future, accurately job file all paperwork and maintain proper security for same, communicate professionally and courteously to all personnel inside and outside of the company, dispatch service personnel for emergency calls, assist Department Operations Manager with monthly reports for his/her department, understand labor burden, overtime factor, and sales tax percentages for his/her department, understand general and administrative (G&A) overhead recovery for his/her department, understand all bidding assemblies and production rates for his/her department, estimate, create proposals for, and present all change orders, ensure all change orders meet budgets, create and submit submittal packages, submit accurate and timely billings, including monthly progress billings, attend project site meetings as needed, create and maintain blue-stake requests throughout project duration, handle invoicing, budgeting and ordering of project equipment and materials, ability to ‘buy-down’ projects below estimated costs, complete daily and weekly scheduling with team and provide updated job hours and costs to operations team, be able to read and perform accurate takeoffs from architectural plans and drawings, be able to calculate appropriate mathematical conversions (e.g., tons to CY, CY to tons, etc.), be proficient in calculating appropriate unit prices, assist with job costing for all completed projects, respond timely to client requests, manage and schedule labor, equipment and material adhering to production schedules and within established budgets while meeting client needs, business objectives and design requirements, work closely with operations and estimating teams to ensure SRL operates as one team with clients and plan appropriately for projects, hold pre-construction meetings with sales and operations to ensure proper ‘hand-off’ of projects, present RFI’s to owners/architects/clients to get clarifying information when needed, anticipate or identify any opportunities or potential problems or risk before project launches and adjust as necessary throughout the course of the project, have a thorough understanding of contract specifications (both primary and sub-contracts) for each project, project documents and specifications in detail and ensure they are met and maintain complete customer satisfaction, hold subcontractors to the same high standards of Santa Rita Landscaping, ensure continued communication with clients on the status of projects, do whatever it takes to deliver on our promises to the clients, regularly monitor job costs and report any jobs deviating from budgets of time, schedule, cost or any other factor so appropriate adjustments can be made to maximize end result, and review and improve upon all processes and procedures of project management to maximize job profitability and service to our clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in the landscape industry in an account management or similar capacity
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong organization and conflict management abilities
  • Capacity to make critical judgments, solve problems and demonstrate careful attention to detail
  • Determination to exceed the goals of position, department, and company by working independently and as an effective leader
  • Experience in managing enhancement sales and estimation

Responsibilities
