HDR Engineering is looking for a Construction Project Manager to join its growing and nationally ranked team of Construction Professionals in the Region. As a Project Manager in the Construction Services Group, the focus is on identifying opportunities, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and managing construction-related support activities for multi-discipline power design projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including field engineering, construction submittals, estimating, scheduling, and site safety
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Construction or design certifications
  • Experience with estimating software (Timberline)
  • Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6 or SureTrak)
  • Experience with project management software (Prolog)
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key client contact tasked with building and maintaining client relations with both internal and external clients
  • Develop new Construction Services clients
  • Work with marketing for proposal development and opportunity tracking
  • Oversee contract and MSA negotiations
  • Conduct resource recruitment
  • Provide invoice approval and budget development for multiple projects concurrently
  • Serve as the key client contact and project manager on larger projects involving multiple services and personnel
  • Make decisions on staffing levels, field resources, and coordination of external resources to properly execute project goals
  • Lead business development in the area as it relates to Construction Services developing and maintaining annual goals
  • Develop and lead the QA/QC process on a project specific basis
  • Maintain project document control
  • Assist or lead projects as a client lead and/or project manager
  • Responsible for supporting the development of new and existing clients throughout the United States
