HEAPY Solutions is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to support complex electrical and MEP infrastructure projects in the Indianapolis market. This role is for individuals with strong electrical construction or design experience who excel at leading projects from planning to execution, while fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams. The ideal candidate is adept at managing medium-to-large electrical infrastructure or MEP construction projects, balancing schedules, budgets, and client expectations, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success. Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of experience managing electrical infrastructure, electrical construction, or complex MEP construction projects.
  • OSHA Safety Training/Certification required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, power distribution systems, project sequencing, and construction coordination.
  • Experience managing electrical infrastructure projects such as power distribution, medium-voltage systems, emergency power systems, utility coordination, or similar electrical scopes.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and client stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain sedentary at a desk for periods of time while operating a computer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and video conferencing.
  • Reliable transportation to and from project sites required.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.).
  • Ability to access all areas of a job site, including ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
  • Ability to move or transport items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must follow safety guidelines and apply established site protocols.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and evaluate information related to project performance, costs, schedules, and construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical and MEP infrastructure construction projects from planning through completion, including schedules, budgets, coordination, and overall execution.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams, maintaining strong communication and relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, finances, safety, quality, and compliance to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with HEAPY leadership and multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues, support project goals, and deliver a Superior Client Experience.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure construction projects, coordinating with broader MEP project teams.
  • Lead assigned construction projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate project meetings, site visits, inspections, and progress reporting activities.
  • Support contractor and subcontractor oversight to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, expenditures, and progress billing information.
  • Identify and help resolve project risks, conflicts, delays, or quality concerns.
  • Assist in reviewing project documentation including electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, submittents, permits, and construction schedules.
  • Provide oversight and coordination for electrical systems and infrastructure installations.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety requirements, and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and reliable project execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, operations managers, and project teams to support successful project delivery and colleague engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and actively seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Travel regularly to active project sites throughout the Indianapolis and Central Indiana region.
  • Represent HEAPY Solutions culture in all interactions and contribute positively to team success.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
