Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or related field.
  • Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker preferred
  • CHC Certified Healthcare Contractor Certificate preferred
  • CHFM Certified preferred
  • Healthcare Construction Management / Technical Experience: 3 years preferred.
  • Construction Management / Technical Experience: 2 Years required.
  • Computer Experience: Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneNote
  • Construction Management Skills and Software Experience.
  • Scheduling, Budgeting, Document Management, Cost Management

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Health Care Physical Environment Worker
  • CHC Certified Healthcare Contractor Certificate
  • CHFM Certified
  • Healthcare Construction Management / Technical Experience: 3 years

Responsibilities

  • Participates as an owner’s representative in the design and construction process.
  • Participates in the facility planning process with the Director of Design and Construction and other leadership roles at SIH.
  • Participates in design meetings with project stakeholders: architects, engineers, construction manager, vendors, and SIH staff.
  • Ensures project team remains focused and develops project in accordance with approved business plans.
  • Coordinates inputs from internal customers, facilities engineering, clinical engineering, information services, infection control, and environmental services.
  • Coordinates design schedules.
  • Reviews design and construction documents for compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of programs and processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Manages project safety while minimizing operational impacts.
  • Reviews, Evaluates and Approves project pay application and invoices.
  • Closes out project in timely manner.
  • Utilize and actively participate in refinement of Construction Management Software Processes, reports and education.
  • Utilize and actively participate in refinement of Construction Management Software’s implementation, functionality, reports and education.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
