About The Position

This internship provides an opportunity to work as part of the Corporate Operations team to support internal departments and clients. Primary responsibilities include projects related to improving Operational Efficiencies and Execution on company construction projects.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain or related field in progress. Open to students starting their senior year
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team.
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detailed oriented – with strong attention to accuracy and problem solving.
  • Skills in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Achievement Orientation - Focusing efforts on achieving high quality results consistent with the organization’s standards.

  • The employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens and to adjust focus.
  • Internship length– 10 weeks for Summer; temporary role.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes operational data to assess performance, then generate qualitative and quantitative summaries.
  • Identifies trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Assists in mapping key operational processes using flowcharts other tools to demonstrate key steps, owners, handoffs, dependencies, etc.
  • Creates and organizes database of material drawings purchased though capital supplies ordering
  • Collaborates with multi-departments to enhance individual and project trends to develop lessons learned best practices
  • Identifies and develop a method to create a systematic update to capital estimate/spend
  • Updates and streamlines engineering information intake process
  • Helps with improvements to Project Management system training procedures
  • Assists with implementing new Construction Site Layout software
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
