About The Position

The Construction Project Lead is responsible for supporting Construction Project Managers in the day-to-day execution of projects by maintaining budgets, schedules, and project workflows to ensure successful delivery. This role coordinates vendors, site inspectors, foremen, supervisors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep project requirements aligned with timelines and budgets. Success in this role requires strong leadership, organization, technical proficiency, and communication skills to maintain quality standards, manage compliance, and deliver projects efficiently while meeting customer expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and workflow priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High aptitude for learning new systems, processes, and databases.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF editing.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work in an office or field environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions and active construction environments as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications engineering or construction in field or office environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting construction project management, scheduling, budgeting, and vendor coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with GIS systems and project management software preferred.
  • Experience in telecommunications construction management or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle reporting, compliance management, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers to ensure projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
  • Schedule and attend regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff to maintain alignment and progress.
  • Liaise with management and clients to identify and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assign project tasks to relevant parties and monitor progress updates.
  • Communicate construction schedule changes to foremen, supervisors, and subcontractors and collaborate with stakeholders to meet requirements.
  • Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project database oversight while providing regular updates to Project Managers on job progress, plans, and potential risks.
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
  • Prepare reports, budgets, and project plans for stakeholder review and communication.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze operational and financial data to support status reporting, cycle time tracking, project updates, and risk identification.
  • Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
