About The Position

Wolverine Building Group is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout. The position offers real exposure and responsibility, with a team invested in the employee's growth. The Project Engineer will have the support of experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, gaining firsthand experience in project execution while contributing meaningfully from day one.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Comfortable working both in the field and in an office setting
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
• Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Internship or field experience
• Familiarity with Procore
• OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Support project teams across all phases of construction
• Assist with permitting, bid coordination, subcontract management, and cost tracking
• Attend meetings, take notes, and maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittmits, schedules, reports)
• Coordinate with field teams and participate in site walks to monitor progress and identify issues
• Assist with budgeting, change orders, invoicing, and project financial tracking
• Support safety planning and help maintain a strong safety-first culture
• Communicate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and design partners
• Contribute wherever needed—this role requires a team-first, hands-on approach
