The Construction Project Engineer I is responsible for managing project-related document controls and plans/drawing maintenance, including the distribution of drawing revisions and trade notifications. This role involves creating, maintaining, and organizing all required project documentation and logs, such as RFIs and submittal registers. The engineer will collaborate with the project team and consultants to research and author RFIs, manage the RFI process, and maintain the project record set. Additionally, they will oversee the submittal and shop drawings process, prepare and distribute meeting minutes, and assist with subcontractor insurance and safety requirements. The position also includes tracking long-lead items, managing material procurement, assisting with subcontract awards and trade buyout, and handling project photo documentation. Responsibilities extend to issuing correspondence, managing project closeout, coordinating punch-list items, and assisting with change orders and payment applications.
