About The Position

The Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This position will also assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation, ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through project closeout.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in construction or engineering (internships may count).
Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar drafting/markup software is a plus.
OSHA certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and overall project execution.
Review architectural and engineering plans to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
Track and document project progress, RFI (Requests for Information), submittals, and change orders.
Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and procurement of materials.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain project records, daily reports, and documentation logs.
Facilitate communication between stakeholders including clients, architects, and engineers.
Ensure adherence to project timelines and assist in identifying and mitigating potential delays or risks.
Participate in project meetings and prepare reports as needed.
