What this job involves: As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of corporate interior construction projects for a financial services client. Working closely with project teams, vendors, accounting partners, and stakeholders, you will help manage project documentation, financial processes, communication, and compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of practical experience in construction or accounting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies and the various phases of construction from concept through closeout.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management ( Or 5+ years of practical experience in construction or a ccounting).
  • Familiarity with GMP contracts and other construction contract types.
  • Experience using PMWeb or similar project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, vendors, and clients to ensure alignment on project updates and changes.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, change orders, financial reports, and progress updates.
  • Process and record daily financial transactions while maintaining accurate and compliant financial records.
  • Partner with Accounting, Design, and Construction teams to support project financial tracking and reporting.
  • Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals, bids, invoices, and change orders within project management financial systems.
  • Verify accuracy of project costs against approved budgets and contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor agreements, contracts, affidavits, and lien waiver documentation.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Utilize project management and Microsoft Office tools to track project activities and reporting requirements.
