About The Position

Rich Contracting Company, LLC (RCC) is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator to join their growing team. RCC is a fast-paced commercial general contractor specializing in high-end retail, restaurant, and tenant improvement projects throughout the western U.S. and across the country. This role requires someone who enjoys being in the middle of fast-paced projects, helping to keep everything moving in the right direction. It is not a passive role; the ideal candidate takes ownership, follows up, asks questions, solves problems, and is proactive in communication. The Project Coordinator will work directly with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other members of the RCC team from project inception through final closeout.

  • Previous experience with a commercial general contractor, subcontractor, construction manager, architecture firm, or other construction-related company is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of subcontracts.
  • Understanding of Certificates of Insurance.
  • Understanding of W-9s.
  • Understanding of bid packages.
  • Understanding of purchase orders.
  • Understanding of project closeout.
  • Familiarity with construction management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction experience is a big plus, but not necessary as training will be provided for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Support projects from bidding and preconstruction through construction and final closeout.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to ensure the project team has necessary resources.
  • Assist in coordinating the bidding process, including subcontractor solicitation, bid invitations, follow-up, and proposal tracking.
  • Receive, organize, and track subcontractor and supplier proposals.
  • Prepare, issue, distribute, and track subcontracts, purchase orders, and other project documents.
  • Collect and track insurance certificates, W-9s, contracts, and subcontractor onboarding documents.
  • Follow up with subcontractors, vendors, and team members regarding missing information or approaching deadlines.
  • Support field Superintendents with documentation and administrative needs.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic project files.
  • Track outstanding items, approvals, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Ensure tasks and items do not fall through the cracks.
  • Communicate potential issues or missing information to the Project Manager proactively.
  • Facilitate communication to resolve issues and obtain necessary information.
