About The Position

Renuke Services is seeking to fill a Construction Project Controls Scheduler position at our client site in Charlotte, NC. This is a long-term, 3-year+ contract role. The ideal candidate will be an intermediate-level Project Controls Scheduler responsible for initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight. This role requires hands-on experience with Primavera (P6) as the scheduling software and is typically assigned to high-volume projects. The position involves leading schedule review meetings and collaborating with the project team to build and update project schedules. The role is full-time, hybrid with 3 days/week in the office and requires site visits once a month. Candidates must be US citizens and are responsible for their own relocation expenses if applicable.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a two-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (P6).
  • Minimum of 5 years of project controls scheduling experience using Primavera (p6) in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of project controls principles.
  • Working knowledge to proficiency with project management/project controls concepts/computer applications such as scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets.
  • Proven collaborative team member.
  • Construction scheduler experience.
  • Experience handling actual construction dates in P6.
  • Boots on the ground type of person who can walk jobs and understand the schedule.
  • Understanding of predecessor and foundation for projects.
  • Detail-oriented construction project experience.
  • Experience working and coordinating between different groups on site.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university in business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • PMI or AACE certification (PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
  • Experience with software such as Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, MS Office Suite, Prolog, Visio, Powerplant, Maximo, PeopleSoft.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating and completing routine aspects of project control assignments with general oversight.
  • Applying fundamental project controls principles and procedures to complex and varied work.
  • Using Primavera (P6) as the scheduling software.
  • Leading schedule review meetings.
  • Working with the project team to obtain information to build/update the project schedule.

  • Managing projects typically valued at $1M+ or complex projects.
