Construction Planner/Estimator-Austin Industrial-NO PER DIEM
About The Position
Austin is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Construction Planner – Capital Projects to lead planning, scheduling, analysis, and progress tracking for major capital projects. The role serves as a key technical resource and supports projects from initial bidding through final execution, ensuring project timelines are met. The Construction Planner develops and manages project schedules, supports bidding, maintains schedule data integrity, prepares management reports and schedule analyses, collaborates with Civil, Mechanical, and I&E teams, and oversees resources related to scheduling tools, team training, and schedule maintenance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of dedicated planning and scheduling experience in an industrial setting.
- Advanced skills in industry-standard scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate schedule data into management narratives.

- Strong understanding of Civil, Mechanical, and I&E disciplines; candidates with a foundational understanding are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage baseline, as-built, and recovery schedules for complex capital projects.
- Develop preliminary bid schedules to identify strategic advantages and support quality assurance.
- Design project schedules and contract agreements while ensuring data accuracy throughout the project life cycle.
- Prepare monthly status reports for upper management detailing schedule milestones and variances.
- Provide project teams with schedule narratives, data analysis, and time impact analysis exercises.
- Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and I&E (Instrumentation & Electrical) teams to integrate workflows.
- Oversee allocation of resources for scheduling tools, team training, and schedule maintenance.
