A paid co-op experience for students studying Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering Technologies & Technicians, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. This program offers practical experience in the construction industry by working on real projects, spending time in the field, and collaborating with experienced professionals. Co-ops will have an assigned mentor and will be involved in preconstruction efforts and construction engineering tasks on educational, healthcare, industrial, and water resource projects. Returning co-ops can gain exposure to different construction opportunities. The role emphasizes applying classroom learning to real work, understanding industry practices like estimating and project management, and developing practical skills in quantity take-offs, plans and specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, materials, field quantities, and labor.
