About The Position

RoyOMartin is seeking a Construction Millwright to join their team. This role involves planning and executing mechanical maintenance projects, providing maintenance support for plant equipment, and performing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on all plant mechanical equipment. The Millwright will also support mill maintenance during downdays and outages, and will be responsible for fabrication through cutting and welding, corrective and preventive maintenance problem resolution, sprocket alignments, bearing changes, layout measurements, and rigging of heavy machinery components. Requirements

A willingness to learn and grow is critical for this position.
Must have a mechanical aptitude and industrial mechanical experience; 3 years preferred.
Willing to work overtime and weekends with occasional travel to other company facilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to grasp complex concepts and pay attention to detail.
Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
Outstanding attendance record.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Committed to safety, quality, and production and maintenance best practices.
Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute mechanical maintenance projects and provide maintenance support for plant equipment.
Safely perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on all plant mechanical equipment.
Support mill maintenance during downdays and outages and otherwise as needed.
Cut and weld for fabrication.
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance problem resolution.
Perform sprocket alignments, change various types of bearings, and properly measure layouts.
Properly and safely rig heavy machinery components.
