Entry Level Construction Materials Testing Technician
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is looking for full-time candidates to join their Construction Materials Testing (CMT) operation. This role is an excellent entry point into the construction materials testing industry, with no prior experience required as comprehensive training is provided. Requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to use a company provided laptop or iPad.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
Nice To Haves
- Construction-related training or technical training desirable.
- Certifications in Concrete and Soil desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing.
- Become familiar with reading and understanding applicable construction plans and specifications.
- Prepare and submit daily reports.
- Interact with clients, contractors, and other design professionals.
- Attend job site related meetings.
- Perform testing in our soils and construction materials testing laboratories.
