About The Position

Kleinfelder's Construction Services team is seeking experienced Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join their team in the Cerritos and Ontario, CA offices. This role involves performing construction observation and materials testing on various projects to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications. The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring. Candidates must have their own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. They must also be willing to travel throughout Southern California and be able to pass a background check and/or Live Scan fingerprinting based on specific project requirements. Requirements

  • 1+ year of soil and concrete testing experience
  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification
  • Radiation safety training for the operation of a nuclear density gauge
  • Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and/or Live Scan fingerprinting based on specific project requirements
  • Willing to travel throughout Southern California
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be able to use a computer and have a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and photo management software
  • Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data
