About The Position

Braun Intertec is seeking experienced Construction Materials Technicians (CMT) for a traveling position focused on Data Centers, Commercial Warehouses, and other remote projects. This role requires individuals who are dependable, flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable with extensive travel. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, with overtime and weekend work expected. The technician will perform routine inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to ensure compliance with construction plans, contract documents, and project specifications. The company provides training and mentoring to help employees expand their skills and certifications.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a good driving history.
• Ability to travel extensively and work at remote project sites throughout the US.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends as required.
• Technical expertise in electronic field data collection.
• Able to interpret plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of construction materials testing experience.
• Minimum Certification: ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I.

Nice To Haves

• Previous materials testing experience preferred.
• iPad experience a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• State DOT Certifications
• NICET Certifications

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete and compaction testing on commercial construction projects.
• Prepare daily reports on testing and daily activities.
• Report observations and test data with accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate test results with project leads and site superintendents/foreman.
• Work with project engineers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed.
