Construction Materials Testing Technician Intern
About The Position
Kleinfelder's Dallas, TX office is seeking a Summer Intern for Construction Materials Testing Services. This is a great opportunity for students majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management. Under supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidate will assist in performing routine inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, and will also perform routine materials laboratory tests for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance industry and construction specifications. Training will be provided. Inter-departmental training will be available at the request of the environmental, geotechnical, and civil departments within Kleinfelder. The Intern will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
Requirements
- Majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Ability to use a computer.
- General knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation required.
Responsibilities
