About The Position

ECS Limited is hiring a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Project Manager for its Fayetteville field services team. The role manages a variety of CMT projects and coordinates with project teams, from senior engineers to field staff, to meet project deadlines. The position also includes client interaction, project financial administration, technical coordination, and mentoring junior staff. As the employee gains experience, ECS offers potential opportunities for additional mentoring, leadership, and advanced certifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Materials Science Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Geology. Construction Management degrees and certain Technology degrees may not be considered.
• At least 2 full years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• PE or PG license required in the state where the employee works.
• Strong marketing skills and ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
• Strong speaking, reading, and writing communication skills.
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of CMT principles, applications, and ASTM laboratory standards.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction materials testing projects, including reviewing daily reports, collaborating with project teams, resolving technical and administrative issues, and training field staff assigned to projects.
• Manage project budgets; prepare invoices and pay applications; and assist with collection efforts.
• Prepare project proposals and change orders.
• Host or attend client project meetings and follow up on reports as needed.
• Perform soil classifications and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor junior staff and support the development of the team.
