About The Position

CPM Builders is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Materials Procurement Coordinator to support procurement operations across multiple construction projects. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and coordinating the delivery of construction materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate has experience in construction procurement, vendor coordination, material logistics, and cost control, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or construction materials coordination.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and purchasing procedures.
  • Experience working in the construction, engineering, or building industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the CPM Builders office located near Doral, Miami, FL 33172.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, or construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure construction materials, equipment, tools, and supplies in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes, pricing, and lead times.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy of quantities, specifications, and pricing.
  • Coordinate purchase approvals in accordance with company procurement policies.
  • Monitor material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain procurement records, purchase logs, and supplier documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, distributors, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance related to pricing, quality, and delivery reliability.
  • Resolve issues involving shortages, damaged materials, delayed shipments, or invoice discrepancies.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with project managers, superintendents, and warehouse personnel.
  • Track material orders from purchase through delivery and ensure timely arrival to job sites.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control processes.
  • Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Communicate proactively with field teams regarding order status and delivery updates.
  • Maintain procurement databases, spreadsheets, and ERP/project management systems.
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts for accuracy.
  • Assist accounting with invoice verification and vendor payment processing.
  • Generate procurement reports, cost tracking summaries, and status updates.
  • Support compliance with company safety standards and procurement procedures.
