Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
0-2 years relevant experience (Associate Technician/Technician I)
2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent with an associate degree (Technician II)
3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent with an associate degree (Technician III)
5+ years of relevant experience (Technician IV)
Industry certifications such as American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician, and/or International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Basic math proficiency, including an understanding of measurements and units of weight
The understanding of a fluctuating schedule and interest in occasional travel
Thrive in fast-paced, hands-on settings

Communicate clearly

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in construction is preferred but not required
Associate degree in a related field preferred for advanced levels
Prior leadership or mentoring experience is a plus (for Technician IV)

Responsibilities

Performing field and laboratory testing on construction materials like concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates
Collecting and preparing samples for analysis
Interpreting test results and preparing detailed reports
Working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure all work meets specifications and safety guidelines
Experience shifting work hours based on project demands and weather, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half)
Occasional travel to support other offices is covered with per diem and lodging
