About The Position

Coho Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction activities in Kittery, Maine. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day construction operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations. The Construction Manager will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on performance, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited), Architecture (NAAB-accredited), Construction Management, or Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited).
  • Ability to pass the Corps of Engineers EM-385 Safety & Health exam within 15 days of onboarding.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on commercial, industrial, utility, or waterfront projects valued at $5M or more.

  • Strong knowledge of construction supervision, safety standards, engineering principles, and project management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs for constructability and compliance with field conditions.
  • Participate in and coordinate project meetings, including pre-bid site visits, preconstruction conferences, QC meetings, schedule reviews, and final inspections.
  • Monitor construction progress through site visits, contractor reports, and QC documentation.
  • Review and provide recommendations on contractor submittals, schedules, safety plans, and QC programs.
  • Manage contractor RFIs, change requests, and provide technical solutions to unforeseen challenges.
  • Oversee execution of contractor QC programs, including inspections, testing, and the three-phase QC process.
  • Review and enforce compliance with safety requirements, including AHAs, Accident Prevention Plans, and NAVFAC P-307 crane lift plans.
  • Recommend contract modifications and support the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), sketches, and technical inputs.
  • Review and recommend approval of contractor schedules, invoices, and payment requests.
  • Document contractor performance and prepare compliance reports for the Contracting Officer.
  • Support project closeout activities, including as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and DD1354 documentation.
  • Provide project status updates to NAVFAC leadership and mentor junior staff on construction management best practices.
