About The Position

Dream Finders Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee newly constructed residential homes in a fast-paced environment. The role requires attention to detail and enforcement of workplace safety requirements while meeting deadlines efficiently and effectively.

The Construction Manager ensures the accuracy of blueprints and takeoffs, manages budget variances, coordinates supply and trade issues with the purchasing department, and works with builders to maintain quality and support timely project completion. The role also involves monitoring builder communications related to sales orders to support closings and customer satisfaction, reviewing subcontractor purchase orders, and holding weekly team meetings and individual planned encounters.

The position includes office and field work. The role regularly involves walking, climbing stairs, sitting, standing, reaching, using hands and fingers to operate tools and business machines, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable automobile for on-site use.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
• Knowledge of building codes.
• At least 2 years of residential home-building experience.
• Homebuilding software experience, such as BuildPro.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of blueprints and takeoffs, and manage budget variances.
• Coordinate project supply and trade issues with the purchasing department.
• Ensure quality standards are met throughout projects.
• Coordinate builder loading, start timing, and pace.
• Monitor builder communication with sales orders to maximize closings and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct weekly team meetings.
• Review and approve subcontractor purchase orders.
• Conduct weekly individual planned encounters.
• Maintain attention to detail and enforce workplace safety requirements while meeting deadlines.
