Job Duties Oversees ongoing planned, ad-hoc and maintenance related outside plant activity, directing all aspects assigned projects end-to-end. Actively manages, tracks and reports on current ongoing activity and projects, including work progress, schedule, and budget. Proactively works with local systems, divisions, corporate office and contractor teams to find solutions to issues that prevent construction projects from completing on time and on budget. Reviews all required reports from field personnel and contractors (including invoicing reports) for accuracy. Ensures appropriate acceptance testing of new outside plant facilities, periodically reviewing and updating audits and facility maps to ensure accuracy. Verifies that all required documentation, including bid jobs, build orders, job start agreements and close out documentation is complete. Conducts periodic quality assurance inspections of OSP projects, providing recommendations to management for improving standards and practices resulting in higher quality and lower project costs. Researches and ensures compliance with all legal requirements, building and safety codes and other relevant regulations. Negotiates contractor partner agreements, confirms complete with Cable One design and construction protocol, and resolves financial and quality discrepancies. Works closely with the leadership team to develop budgets and allocate appropriate funds for new builds, rebuilds, upgrades and other construction efforts. Responds to questions, concerns and complaints regarding construction projects. Develops, modifies and reviews existing processes to facilitate application of key performance indicators (KPI). Updates weekly and monthly progress and activity reports.
