About The Position

Metro RF is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (CM) to join their team in New Jersey. This is a hands-on field leadership role focused on supporting telecommunications construction projects across the region and potentially other markets. The position requires significant travel and a strong background in Outside Plant (OSP) construction.

Requirements

• Strong background in OSP telecommunications construction.
• Experience managing underground and aerial fiber projects.
• Knowledge of trenching, directional drilling, conduit placement, fiber installation, restoration, and related OSP activities.
• Ability to manage crews and subcontractors in the field.
• Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods, including multi-week project assignments when required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage underground and aerial fiber projects.
• Oversee OSP construction activities including trenching, directional drilling, conduit placement, fiber installation, and restoration.
• Manage field crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate project schedules, materials, equipment, permitting, and customer requirements.
• Track production, job progress, project closeouts, and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, field crews, subcontractors, and internal management.
• Travel for extended periods, including multi-week project assignments, as required.
• Work in an active construction environment.
