Hill International is seeking a Construction Manager in Houston, Texas. This role involves providing professional project management and leadership on multiple large healthcare and research projects. The Construction Manager will direct design professionals, administer contracts, and manage the execution of major projects from initiation through completion of construction. The typical project portfolio includes 1-3 active projects with an average total value of $50M or more. Responsibilities include monitoring project budget, schedule, and construction services, driving consultant progress, and facilitating timely decisions by campus representatives. The role also involves ensuring design and construction documents comply with project requirements and facilitating reviews for various codes and compliance plans. During construction, the Construction Manager will direct and/or support the Project Manager, Senior Construction Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, and institution staff in managing construction activities. This position serves as the primary project liaison with campus staff, facility user groups, operations, and administration throughout the design and contract administration phases. Staying current with applicable Codes and Regulations is essential, including International Building Codes, NFPA, 101, TDLR, OSHA, ADA, ASHRAE 90.1, SWPPP, and any special requirements for the building type or local jurisdictions. Collaboration with other OFPC colleagues to initiate and develop process improvements is also expected.
