Job Summary Responsibilities & Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees office services during construction for the client that will be performed from an on-site field office. Provides technical reviews of the project deliverables. Trouble-shoots design issues that arise during construction. Proactively manages Client expectations and assuring client satisfaction related to project. Perform on-site field visits with clients and contractors as needed to resolve field conflicts. Attend on-site weekly construction meetings. Mentoring of junior technical staff as required. Responsible for project quality. Assures QA/QC processes are completed on each project. Lead conversations on client’s behalf with Contractor to resolve conflicts, answer questions, and enforce contract documents. Understand and enforce contract documents. Lead project controls and documentation of project submittals, invoices, RFIS, etc. Respond to RFIs within requirements of contract documents. Work with design team to ensure design intent is achieved during construction. Work with design team ensuring ability to provide adequate constructability (construction sequencing, scheduling, etc.) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely-related field with 8+ years’ experience working with MEP projects. Ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings, and shop drawings. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint sites, and Bluebeam Revu. PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional Engineer License in the state of Virginia. Past experience with Wastewater treatment plants. Preferably in the City of Richmond. Experience managing all phases of construction work on multiple contracts simultaneously as well as project management of complex water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely-related field with 8+ years’ experience working with MEP projects.
  • Ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings, and shop drawings.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint sites, and Bluebeam Revu.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer License in the state of Virginia.
