About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager to join their Construction Management Team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves managing and coordinating design services during the construction phase, overseeing field inspectors and project staff, and managing all project documentation for municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, storage facilities, and pipelines. The Construction Manager will report to the construction management Area Manager and client account leaders, with opportunities for growth into leadership roles.

Requirements

  • 10 years of project management experience in water or wastewater pipeline, plant, or pump station projects.
  • PE License or CCM through CMAA.
  • Project management of design-related services during construction.
  • Construction management related services.
  • Experience in schedule and cost management.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and provide recommendations for all project issues.
  • Ability to multi-task several projects and priorities.
  • Solid time management skills.
  • Develop project management plans and communication plans.
  • Develop strong project teams between owners, contractors, and designers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (particularly MS Excel, MS Word, MS SharePoint, and Outlook) and document management software.

Nice To Haves

  • 15 or more years of responsible in charge project management.
  • DBIA certified.
  • Engineering and construction management experience in wastewater and water process, storage, and conveyance type projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality projects, on time and within budget for owners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall construction phase project and construction management services.
  • Coordinate and manage design-related services during construction, including submittal reviews, RFI reviews and responses.
  • Coordinate technical input and guidance to the Owner.
  • Manage change management, schedule management, document management, risk management, and quality management.
  • Manage project close-out.
  • Provide project monthly progress reports.
  • Act as a liaison between the owner, contractor, and engineering team.
  • Serve as the project’s point of contact for the project team.
  • Lead and support the resolution of project issues.
  • Prepare requests for change proposals, review contractor claims and change proposals, and prepare change orders, work change directives, or field orders.
  • Monitor contractor progress for compliance with contract documents.
  • Review and process contractor applications for payment.
  • Review, analyze, and report on contractor CPM baseline schedules and monthly updates.
  • Attend and conduct project meetings, including preconstruction conferences.
  • Observe construction activities at key milestones.
  • Conduct substantial completion inspections and prepare project punch lists.
  • Conduct final completion inspections.
  • Provide Record Drawings based on the contractor’s as-built drawings.
