THE WORK: Youâll act as the Ownerâs representative in all aspects of project delivery. Youâll provide executiveâlevel oversight of construction activities, staff, and consultants. Youâll serve as a primary advisor to Client executive leadership, supporting strategic decisions and issue resolution. Youâll lead and direct Resident Engineers, inspectors, project controls personnel, and support staff. Youâll maintain full accountability for projectâwide safety performance. Youâll ensure protection of Client employees, State personnel, contractor staff, and the traveling public at all times. Youâll drive a proactive safety culture targeting zero lostâtime incidents. Youâll oversee contractor safety programs, audits, and incidentâresponse protocols. Youâll lead all aspects of construction execution from mobilization through closeout. Youâll ensure alignment with project scope, contractual requirements, and Client objectives. Youâll monitor and manage schedule and budget performance, reporting directly to executive leadership. Youâll identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed. Youâll oversee coordination across engineering, construction, and operational interfaces. Youâll provide seniorâlevel oversight of contract administration, claims, and change management. Youâll lead negotiation and resolution of complex change orders and contractor claims. Youâll ensure strict conformance with all Client contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements. Youâll advise Client leadership on contractual risks and commercial strategies. Youâll oversee and integrate all project functions, including engineering/design coordination, construction management, QA/QC, materials testing, environmental compliance (CEQA/NEPA), thirdâparty coordination, and community outreach. Youâll lead constructability reviews and provide strategic input on design packages. Youâll provide executive oversight of CPM scheduling, phasing, and sequencing strategies. Youâll validate cost controls, forecasts, and contingency management. Youâll direct recovery planning and scheduleâacceleration strategies when required. Youâll represent the Client in public forums, community meetings, and interagency coordination. Youâll maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and key stakeholders. Youâll coordinate with transit operations to minimize disruptions to service. Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities.
