Construction Manager - OFCI

CrusoeAmarillo, TX
Onsite

About The Position

As an OFCI Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery and integration of high-value, Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed equipment for one of Crusoe’s flagship hyperscale data center campuses in Amarillo, Texas. You serve as the vital link between factory production and onsite energization, ensuring that long-lead assets—from massive switchgear and generators to complex cooling systems—move seamlessly from the manufacturing floor to fully commissioned systems. Your leadership is the safeguard against schedule delays, ensuring our infrastructure scales at the pace of the AI revolution without compromising our commitment to sustainable, mission-critical excellence. This role is designed for a technical powerhouse who thrives in active construction environments and possesses the foresight to identify scope gaps before they impact the critical path. You will act as the primary bridge between procurement, global vendors, and onsite MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) trades. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver who can navigate the complexities of JIT (Just-In-Time) logistics and modularized power systems to ensure our projects are delivered with precision and integrity. This is a full-time position based onsite in Amarillo, Texas.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of direct experience in mission-critical data center or heavy industrial construction environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of large-scale electrical and mechanical systems, specifically switchgear, UPS, backup generators, chilled water systems, and CRAH/CRAC units.
  • Proven track record of coordinating long-lead, owner-furnished equipment within active, fast-paced construction schedules.
  • High proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Procore, BIM 360, and scheduling software like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Ability to work hands-on on active job sites while effectively managing diverse stakeholders, including vendors, trades, and internal engineering teams.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED AP certification.
  • 8+ years of experience specifically within hyperscale data center environments.
  • Experience with innovative cooling or power technologies that reduce the carbon footprint of digital infrastructure.
  • Specialized experience in the design-build or installation of modular/prefabricated power and cooling skids.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of critical OFCI assets, overseeing everything from initial factory testing through final onsite installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Track procurement milestones and delivery schedules using a Master Equipment Log and JIT strategies to ensure zero impact on the construction critical path.
  • Review submittments and BIM coordination files to validate equipment footprints, weights, clearances, and connection points, ensuring perfect integration with the building's shell.
  • Lead onsite receiving, rigorous inspections, and damage assessments, while verifying all technical documentation and spare parts are accounted for upon arrival.
  • Act as the central point of contact for equipment vendors and MEP trades, facilitating seamless communication from factory testing through Level 3 and Level 4 commissioning.
  • Oversee the deployment of modularized and containerized systems, including power skids and prefabricated cooling solutions, to accelerate build timelines.
  • Proactively identify and resolve equipment risks, scope gaps, and logistics bottlenecks to maintain project momentum and quality standards.
  • Support the transition of assets to the operations team by managing asset tracking, warranty documentation, and the handoff of capital spares.
