About The Position

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detailed individual for our Construction Management Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work full-time during the summer in Moscow, ID. As a Construction Management Intern, a typical day might include the following: Support Property Management Manager and Project Coordinators with project tracking, documentation, and administrative tasks Track project schedules in MS Project, maintain daily job logs, and report project feedback Process RFIs and product submittals; update drawing files and improve archives and materials library Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, including planning vendor visits and field office setup Continuously identify, monitor, and improve operational and office processes

Requirements

  • Current student pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Business, Design, or Architecture.
  • Strong computer skills, especially 2D/3D CAD, MS Office Suite, and MS Project.
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products.
  • Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
  • Negative drug test result(s).
