About The Position

Positions available in the Division of Waste Management. Requires the ability to assist in residential leaf collection, picking up and loading bags of leaves into the back of a leaf collection truck. Hours of work are 7:00a.m. - 3:30p.m., Monday through Friday, approximately from the first week of November through the last week of January.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be dependable
• Must be in good physical condition
• Requires an acceptable criminal background check
• Must be physically able to lift between 50 and 75 pounds on a frequent basis
• Work involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, and bending on a daily basis

Responsibilities

• Assist in residential leaf collection
• Pick up and load bags of leaves into the back of a leaf collection truck
• Perform general labor assignments when regular employees are absent
• Provide supplemental support for department projects, during peak work periods, and for special events
