About The Position
This is a seasonal position expected to run from November 1 to January 1, with 40 hours per week. The position performs semi-skilled and routine work in the processing and collection of leaf and related refuse. Responsibilities include removing leaves and related materials from city streets and city property, performing other manual labor as requested, and related work as required.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an equivalent GED certificate.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening.
- Working knowledge of the operation of trucks and other assigned pieces of equipment.
- Ability to use common sense in the safe operation of small equipment in confined areas.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
- Exhibits the traits of sound judgment, resourcefulness, dependability, exercises mature judgment and integrity.
