About The Position

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Seattle office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing public owners, developers, architects, engineers, and design professionals in sophisticated construction disputes and complex construction projects.

Requirements

3-5 years of construction litigation experience
Experience representing public owners, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and/or design professionals
Experience handling complex construction disputes, claims, and litigation matters
Experience with pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Washington bar admission required or ability to waive in via motion, reciprocity, or UBE transfer

Nice To Haves

Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related project documentation is strongly preferred
Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Representing public owners, developers, architects, engineers, and design professionals in sophisticated construction disputes and complex construction projects.
Handling complex construction disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related project documentation.
Managing pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
